Mozambique Diving Holiday: Ponta do Ouro, Tofo, Morrungulo & Vilankulos
Get ready for an unforgettable journey through four of Mozambique's most spectacular dive destinations — each with its own character, its own underwater world and its own shade of blue. Over two incredible weeks, you'll enjoy 24 dives across Ponta do Ouro, Tofo, Morrungulo and Vilanculos, with four nights in each destination. The ultimate dive trip!
Your adventure begins in Ponta do Ouro, just north of the South African border and one of the world's renowned destinations for shark diving. Four nights here give you six dives in protected waters, from colourful reefs alive with turtles and rays to the legendary Pinnacles, where big sharks patrol the deep blue. Bottlenose dolphins are also regular visitors to the bay, adding another unforgettable encounter above the reefs.
From there, head north to Tofo, Mozambique's famous manta ray and whale shark capital. Six dives over four relaxed nights take you out to the spectacular offshore reefs, where giant manta rays glide over cleaning stations and whale sharks can be encountered in the surrounding waters. With its warm water, colourful reefs and abundance of marine life, Tofo offers something different on almost every dive.
Next comes Morrungulo, a quieter and wonderfully remote stretch of Mozambique's coastline. Here, six dives reveal pristine reefs and the area's famous manta encounters, far from the crowds. Morrungulo is all about slowing down, diving in uncrowded waters and experiencing Mozambique's underwater world at its wildest.
The grand finale unfolds in Vilanculos, your gateway to the breathtaking Bazaruto Archipelago. Your final six dives take you into the islands' clear, warm waters and spectacular reefs, including Two Mile Reef, one of the richest marine environments in the region. With pristine coral gardens, abundant reef life and the unforgettable setting of the archipelago, it's the perfect place to end your journey.
Four destinations, 24 dives and four very different shades of blue — with cosy places to stay, all transfers taken care of and the Indian Ocean waiting at every stop. All you need to bring is your gear and your love for the ocean!
