Get ready for an incredible journey from the wild heart of South Africa to the tropical waters of southern Mozambique — combining close-up wildlife encounters, world-class diving and some of the Indian Ocean's most beautiful reefs. Your adventure begins at Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge, overlooking the legendary Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park, one of Africa's oldest protected areas and a stronghold for the iconic white and black rhino. Two nights here give you the chance to explore the reserve on safari, with elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffes and an incredible variety of antelope and birdlife adding to the experience. From the bush, the road leads east towards the Indian Ocean and Sodwana Bay. At Coral Divers, four nights put you right on the doorstep of one of South Africa's premier dive destinations. Six dives take you out onto Sodwana's spectacular coral reefs, where colourful reef fish, turtles, rays and moray eels are regular companions, while the deeper reefs offer the chance of encounters with larger pelagic species. Warm waters, exceptional visibility and thriving coral gardens make Sodwana a favourite for divers of all levels. From there, cross the border into Mozambique and continue north to Ponta do Ouro, where your final dives take you into the wild waters of southern Mozambique. Famous for its sharks, dolphins, rays and spectacular offshore reefs, Ponta offers a completely different underwater experience — bigger, wilder and wonderfully unpredictable. And when you're not diving, there's nothing better than slowing down on the beach and enjoying the laid-back atmosphere of this little corner of Mozambique. From rhino country to coral reefs, from safari to the open ocean, this is a journey that brings together two of southern Africa's greatest wildlife experiences — above and below the surface.
